Looking back on the last couple of years for the Sanctuary, there’s a mix of highs and lows. We are so blessed with the pasture hosts, foster homes, donors and volunteers who help us care for the horses. And we were successful in qualifying for certification in the new State of Oregon Animal Rescue Entity program. But we also experienced one of the natural results of our program being focused providing last homes for horses. During the two years, we lost Cisco, Laney and Friday the Horse, each leaving a hole in our hearts. On a more positive note, two of our original rescues, Sylvester and Sara (aka Romeo & Juliet) are now over thirty and thriving.
It was a big year for the sanctuary.

Sadly, we lost Hank to founder this month. But we rescued a 14 year-old war horse named Bond (aka Stealth Attack).
We have our first pasture home! Our neighbors on Valley Vista Road took in two Thoroughbreds. Sara and Sylvester have become a local attraction.
Cisco moved to Shannon’s place and is thriving. Joined by Friday in June 2016. Thank you Shannon!!
